The Noodle House, Dolmen Mall

Went to The Noodle House for dinner. Loved their Platter, (don't know the names of the things) which contained two vegetable roles, four fried chicken pieces, two fish bites.
Dumplings with the dip sauce was fine
Ordered their deal for two, which contained a main course (out of five options), a side option (out of two) and two drinks (out of four).
Bakmie Goreng for the main meal was a combination of noodles, vegetables and chicken with soy sauce. Tasted great!!! Egg Fried Rice as a side option was alright. And the drinks Ice Tea and Lemon Cooler were fulfilling. Especially Lemon Cooler was heavenly: a mix of lemon and mint.
The hospitality was remarkable. Loved the place.

Dim Sum
though very pretty to look at, stodgy thick covering and over cooked. But flavor was good.

Thai Beef salad
absolutely DIVINE. beef prefect and each ingredient in the salad was total farm fresh even thu it was 1 am. On request they had served the dressing which was just amazing in the side since its quite hot and best limited at that time of the day

Salt and Pepper Calamari
Another absolute hit. Everything was just sheer perfection.

Wasabi Prawns
Thu fresh huge succulent and perfectly cooked with a great batter crispy while while still being perfectly coated in the sauce, i will admit i still prefer the wasabi prawns at China Kitchen. The sauce was too sweet and fruity and not wasabi-eye enough for me. Despite there being extra dipping sauce.

Homemade savoury crepe with cheesy chicken filling.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup plain/all-purpose flour
2 eggs

¾ cup milk
½ cup water
2 tbsp. melted butter
½ tsp. salt
drop of garlic paste (optional)
1 tbsp. chopped coriander
1 chopped red or green chilli
Some oil or butter for greasing the pan
A saucepan, preferably non-stick (about 8″)

METHOD:
Put the flour, chopped chilli, chopped coriander and salt in a mixing bowl and give them a quick stir using a whisk to combine the ingredients and aerate the flour. These will be your dry ingredients.
In a small jug, pour the milk, water and eggs. Whisk them together just to combine. These are the wet ingredients.

Make a well in your dry ingredients and gradually pour the wet ingredients whilst whisking until you have a thin batter. Lastly, add the melted butter and drop of garlic paste and whisk until it has incorporated.

You can now use the batter right away or cover and rest it for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. This batter can keep perfectly for up to 2 days if refrigerated. Remember to give the batter a quick stir before using.

To cook the crepes, heat your frying pan on medium heat until very hot. Put a few drops of oil or butter and swirl it around or wipe it with a kitchen towel to have a thin coating of oil on the pan.

Scoop about a 1/4 cup (use a measuring cup if you have one) of batter and pour it on the hot pan. Grab the handle and swirl the pan around to distribute the batter evenly and as thinly as possible. Set the pan back on the heat and cook for about a minute or less. Once the bottom of the crepe is slightly browned and cooked, flip it over and cook the other side.

Pantry Restaurant karachi

Went to the Pantry today. Lovely little place! Didn't know they were closed before 7 because. I was in the area around 5 and wanted to make reservations. Very helpful staff, They let me in and took down my reservation. Walked in at 7, place was filling up slowly.

Dinner was lettuce wraps, spaghetti carbonara, burrito bowl, and flat bread with shrimp and buffalo sauce. Wraps were light, spaghetti could use some herbs, more seasoning and definitely more parmesan! Flatbread was filling, cheesy but lacked the kick we were hoping to get from the buffalo sauce. Too full to hit the bigggg helping of the burrito bowl! Ended with mocha java chocolate pudding- nomnomnomnomnom! We wiped the serving dish clean!!
Little bit of tweeking needed on some items but will be going back for sure to try the rest of the menu.
Only downside, was a large family with rowdy kids in the smoking section. Made it very difficult for us to chit chat while they tried to keep kids from running up and down the stairs and stay away from the adults while they smoked in a booth. Why are you bringing kids to a smoking section when you don't want them inhaling second hand smoke???

Anyhoo, made the best of it. Thank you Pantry staff, manager and owner for looking after us throughout

KFC at khayaban e rahat Karachi

Went KFC at khayaban e rahat.. I was really surprised to see 80 percent staff working were .deaf and mute. except mangers and 1 other person... I also seen a similar KFC at hassan square too. It's a great way of making them independent, I appreciate KFC to give them jobs there.....great initiative by KFC . would appreciate if other big franchise do as same for them.. so they could be independent. And stand on their own..
special people are talented and smart and appreciate KFC's initiative to bring them in main stream of life will really help them live normally

Its there policy world wide you will see atleast one handicaped employee in their every outlet in Thailand. there is a girl at the counter on their outlet on sukhumvit Road and its easier to communicate with her with hand signs as compare to someone who speaks english in thai

Next time you visit KFC don't forget to thumbs up or appropriate the special person there you're smiles will make him or her more confident I guess

Pizza max A good expireance guys. Placing order till delivery time exact 40 minutes, piping hot  extra olives,
Do try the spicy italian flavor, Its a strong zesty taste the cheese kind of absorbs that flavor. The branch I got
has really soft doughy crust too...better than our dominos (i feel like their sauce is a bit sweet and weird) and wayyy too good for pizza hut. Best flavors to Choose I guess malai boti, fajita sensation

jalapeño popper dip

jalapeño popper dip

6-8 slices of bacon, diced and cooked crispy
2 8-oz packages of cream cheese, soft
1 cup of mayonnaise
4-6 jalapeno's, chopped and deseeded. The seeds will make it fiery hot.
1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup diced green onion
Topping:1 cup of crushed crackers ( I used Ritz)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 stick of butter, melted . Preheat oven to 350
Combine all of the ingredients into a medium bowl. Stir well.

Transfer to an oven proof dish. The size of the dish depends on how thick the dip is. The thicker the dip the longer it may need to warm up. I used this stoneware dish that is round and measures 12 inches across. My dip is usually about an inch thick.
