Moos 'n' Clucks top burger joint in Karachi

It’s exciting to see Maskan Chowrangi becoming a center of fast-food, having names like, BonBistro, BurgerInLaw, BoviChic and the most recent addition Moos 'n' Clucks, certainly a place for burger loving community of Karachi. Team Karachi Food Dairy paid the obligatory visit at Moos n Clucks, the eatery can easily accommodate 20 - 25 people at once, when we reached the place, it was full of customers, so we had to wait for a table.

The staff is hospitable, simple attitude of the youth at service goes perfect along with some very juicy burgers and fries with tempting, decently sized with generous filling of flavorful ingredients, without any overstatement, they are very much at same level and competitive with big names of renowned international burger chains and also offering good bigger quantities in much affordable prices.

Among all the burgers we ordered, Mushroom Cheese, Big Boy, Gooey Blue, and Portland Winner, for three we upgraded it to a ”meal” which includes cold drinks and fires in Rs, 100, we also ordered large fusion fries comprising minced beef / chicken with olives and jalapenos topped with a fusion sauce. The appetizers were genuinely amazing fresh, hot, crispy, cheesy and delightful. Four pieces of fried chicken stuffed with cheddar cheese and topped with honey mustard sauce. Burgers patties were well done perfectly cocked, “Mushroom Cheese” burger was full of mushrooms, Juiciest and tangier among all, next on the most pricey burger of menu “Big Boy” double patty burger can be eaten with the choice of chicken or beef patty selection or customer can go with fusion of both, tasted fine worth the cost should be bit more cheesier, two other items on the menu “Portland Winner” and the “Gooey Bleu” were just fine, the “Portland Winner” pretty much juicy and had flavorful red sauce which left quite unique tasteful experience on taste buds, where “Gooey Bleu” seemed bit less in patties, if it was double patty would have given more tasteful experience, two large serving of fusion fries proved good enough quantity, fires were flavorful maintained their crisps even though being topped with sauces and were never saggy.

Place is offering 10% percent check In discount, all you have to do is check In through you social media account and get a good discount, the place also has a unique autograph wall, which they named “wall of positivity” on which you can write your best positive notes and quotes about life or food, a unique idea get people involved, over all perfectly fine experience, I’ll just recommend them bit less with sauce usage, because that affect the natural patty flavor, they should also increase sitting space to handle more people, over all a very fine place to hit for a casual munch when the burgers cravings kick in, pretty much pocket friendly.

A Place for chocolate lovers in Karachi COCO 9 CAFE

A wonderful place for chocolate lovers in Karachi, offering wide range of items made with chocolate.  "COCO 9 CAFE" a new cafe, creating hype, winning over hearts with its dreamy classy ambiance and it's well known cakes/food, so thought to stop by at this hidden gem for our quick brunch.

COCO 9 CAFE in Karachi is located in Clifton block 4, a small place but providing huge variety in chocolates for the chocolate lovers of Karachi, the place is divided into outdoor, indoor parts. The French styled theme had Eiffel tower as a door knob giving it an adorable look, The walls, counters, and the sitting area is designed with plenty of minimalist modern-day concept, removing everything unnecessary the decoration just focused on chandelier, Candy Jars nicely placed on gold pedestal stands, a classy look given to bills and menus counter by using a vintage vespa scooter, trendy white marble used as table top. 

we ordered Latte and Hot chocolate as our morning refreshing drinks, famous 20 layered Belgium cake’s slice, Mousse trio (a desert in a jar) and two little cheese quiche, richly made latte was really mouthwatering with perfectly balanced blend, hot chocolate tasted entirely lovable, Mousse trio was a superbly yummy that couldn’t stop eating and leaving some for other friends, Belgian Cake topped with chocolate gouache, perfectly moist not too dark, just right soothing run for a scoop as Belgian cake sails into the mouth, cheese quiche was also flavorful and balanced cheesy, perfect for us after having so much sweet, was need of the time.

The staff at "COCO 9 CAFE" enormously welcoming and friendly gave us special attention with smile and suggested us best out of the lot, The Coco 9’s message for Karachi food lovers is, eat, drink and socialize they further say, friends, food and music is much needed for good life, so visit the place and share your experience with us here.

Xander’s opens new branch at Tipu Sultan road

Xander's opens their third Restaurant in Karachi at Tipu Sultan road, last Night team Karachi Food Dairy visited the place to check out the eatery, a nice cozy trendy setup that gave such a comfortable feeling, beautiful interior with dim lights to fall in comfort for, stunningly beautiful establishment with two floors, Good for almost a 100 seats, if you’re are looking to hold a birthday party in Karachi or small gathering this place can be useful, this place can surely be use for small party restaurant.

The dishes we ordered from their menu was Beef steak, was the only option in beef, chicken parmesan, penne with cheese and double chocolate brownie, Beef steak undercut nicely sliced, they say every glitter is not gold but this one surely was, cocked properly, right type of browning or searing meat I don’t prefer chicken and just went for the beef steak and they had nothing else in beef section, found it totally meaningful with taste and searing was nicely done, Penne with cheese was quite good and flavorful with perfect balance of taste, Parmesan chicken was good enough too and the person ordered liked it, Double chocolate brownie was the show stealer. Crispy crunchy upper layer bedded over soft succulent brownie base the way I love with a scoop of ice-cream to side with, simply amazing. 

Well it all proved hands down best, amongst an array of eateries on this side of the bridge, this place is a stand out restaurant with dishes must try dishes are, Honey glazed wings, Cheese pizza too good, Moroccan chicken with white rice and extra sauce, Club sandwich I loved the one with brown bread, Penang chicken curry. Thai green curry prawns. Mini trio burger, Parmesan crusted chicken

Mandi Resturant in Karachi The Maskan Mandi at Badar

Maskan Mandi a new Mandi Restaurant at Badar Commercial gets going this season presenting numerous Mandi verities to facilitate Mandi craving of Karachi, Team Karachi Food Dairy visited the place, wasn’t expected the ambience and the place itself to be Arabic interesting, I mean tried to keep it close to Arabic setup so it can give the feel of more authentic, although it’s a small place but quite unique and different with small compartments like rooms with floor sitting arrangement.

Lets come to the Food, Here I need to say Maskan mandi is presenting Good tasty Mandi compare to other Mandi restaurants in Karachi, We were a group of seven persons and ordered two Chicken Mandi (2 person serving), and 1 Mutton Mandi (2 person serving), and two single servings of Sheesh Toukm the quantity was quite enough to cater two people easily, paying Rs.1200 for 2 people serving with a free refill of rice upon need is a good deal.

Talk about taste Maskan Mandi was spot on, although its early days to be check out with masses everyone has its own way of tasting food, the Matton in Mandi was really marinated well and cocked to keep it nice soft and juicy as we can get every flavor of spice in whole chicken, Rice had a very gentle taste too was perfectly cooked, moist with deliciously aromatic flavor and not too simple like boiled rice, apart from their specialty, I really liked the Sheesh touk too and also advise to try it, soft Chicken pieces just like Malai Boti served on pita bread and hummus, in the end in dessert tried heavenly tasty Kunafa, a must order Metha was great to taste buds with some extra cream on the top.

Service at Maskan Mandi was on top, a good customer service management they have with staff carefully providing table services with custom needs swiftly, I wish they keep the same service level even after they hit rush of customers a worth of a visit.

 

Tiramisu a new place to eat at dolmen Mall Karachi

After spending hours at tough shopping at Dolmen city the eating horse in me was roaring to have some good food, So wanted to check out this new Place “TIRAMISU” at Dolmen City Karachi, a leftest addition of food joint at Dolmen city Karachi, entering in the Restaurant my first Question to the Receptionist was what kind of food you guys offer, and He; Replied “Italian and French” so my thought box decided to give it a try 

Ambiance : The resturant’s setting gave the feel of mix casual and fine dinning look or in between somewhere, Stylish interior had a elegant look for eyes, and lighting was also delightful to watch their Farniture included the comfotable Velvet Sofas, providing perfect comfort, The atterctivly designed Service counter was also well decorated with greenery over it, giving it a noteable look, overall the appearance of the whole place was spot on ambiance did have a Tirmisu touch, but if they add the glass wall to keep the noise out, it will be more good  on scale of ten I would give 9/10

Menu: similer looking menu was on offer no different French or Italian speciality, the Manu was much to a normal resturant offers in Karachi, same varities of Burgers, Pizzas, Steaks, and Sandwiches was on menu, pretty much same what you see in any other restaurants in Karachi.

Food : it was disapointing to see the qauntity and qaulity of the food they offered what is reasonably good in other resturants in Karachi, I odered “Vegetable sandwich” which I though would be a safe choice to start with to a new joint, Quality of taste wise, the freshness was not their. As picture gives an idea that there are barely two sandwiches with those to slim slices of fries. Hardly Lettuce was added, or cucumber or anything that could make a sandwich perfect to the taste buds, the patato cutlet also lacking flavors. The sandwiches were not only dull in sight but also not liking taste, Tomato ketchup also tasted bad not thick enough, the other item on the manue we we tried Beef steak and this and their special fries for starters, not a worthful to against what they are charging for the food. They get 2/10  

Drinks : based on waiter’s suggestion I ordered Tequila sunrise, the taste was not different then a normal regular juice made in every other home, also the quantity was some less to normal, they didn’t had any fine touch of their own, that costed Rs, 235 without tax, with the small quantity.  They get 4/10

Verdict : Tiramisu need to improve food Qaulity,taste, and quantity,  there is no point only charging for good lavish interior which has no significance in a mall, main thing is to provide best tasty food and improve on quantity too

Piccolo Uccello a new Pizza Place in Karachi

Went to this newly opened restaurant called "Piccolo Uccello" and straight away had a feeling that I was abroad.The ambiance and the furniture is very unique and the background music does it's best to give you a French fine dining cuisine feel. We ordered the Cranberry Salad for starters and then the Red Snapper in aluminium foil and the Chicken spinach and feta cheese pizza, everything was cooked to perfection and the texture and taste was truly exquisite and worth the money. Had a chocolate tart for desert which was a perfect conclusion to the meal. This high end restaurant is a must try. Keep it up Piccolo Uccello! Location Main khayabane nishat phase 6

Pow TheEatery A nice addition in Karachi's street food

Wondering why this place is usually so deserted, even when it serves good food, I am really surprised why people don't praise this place more often and why these flavor packed burgers are so under rated and not the talk of the town, went Pow TheEatery for dinner last night, Food that packs a punch!, a very warm welcoming place, comfortable ambiance, minimalistic menu which is great because nobody got time to be stuck at being indecisive, we had the trio of potato waffle sliders, the flavors were pickle, jalapeño and my personal favorite, mushroom. They've introduced a new burger on their menu called the Melt Down, and melt it did! It's a soft centered burger with a blend of cheese stuffing, along with some beef bacon as a topping as well, the massive size bun held together till the last bite.

I got the "Trump" in chicken (not pictured), one bite and it was like God speaking to me I kid you not, It has raised the bar so high, I don't think any other burger can ever come close for me. It is the stuff dreams are made of You take one bite and you see rainbows and you smell spring and have absolute and complete amnesia except all you remember is the fireworks happening with your taste buds, such beautiful balance of flavors I was wowed.
